About the team


The Infrastructure and Place division is in the process of delivering a once-in-a generation multi-billion program of public infrastructure works which will ease congestion, improve safety, create new places and connect communities for generations to come. The opportunity


We have an exciting opportunity within our Solutions Development team for an experienced full stack web developer. The role involves developing integrated solutions to increase the accessibility of critical project and contract information with flexibility to access and update project and contract information data. The role is also responsible for developing analytical product offerings to augment mainstream applications with customised solutions to target certain business user segments.


Key responsibilities of the role will be,


  • Lead the development of integrated solutions to deliver analytics that support project outcomes and provide guidance and mentoring to team members through the lifecycle
  • Manage the design, architecture, development, code review, and testing of integrated analytics applications to collect project information more efficiently, arm projects with access to predictive models, and support mobile access to information.
  • Develop streaming interfaces (APIs) to automate the extraction and ingestion of data from new and legacy applications and systems.
  • Implement digital solutions that improve access to Business Intelligence products, data, and predictive model results that contribute to the delivery of actionable insights.
  • Contribute to the definition, implementation, and management of the end-to-end SDLC process to ensure development and delivery of quality analytics applications.
  • Provide all levels of user and operational support of developed solutions to reduce the impact of production defects and other incidents.

About you


You are a highly driven and self-motivated individual that takes gratification from developing high-quality, user-centric software solutions. As a full-stack developer, you bring a wealth of experience to an established team and your career focus to date has seen you develop components across the technology stack.


With appropriate tertiary qualifications or relevant professional experience, you have the demonstrated analytical ability, integration, and problem-solving skills as well as ability to present and explain complex technical information to technical and non-technical audiences.


Proven experience in UX/UI design using User Centered Design principles and experience in developing responsive front-end applications for web and mobile platforms will be essential.


The Technical skills we are looking for,

  • Proficiency in front-end languages such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript
  • Proficiency in JavaScript frameworks such as React & TypeScript
  • Proficiency with server-side development using C#, Java or Python
  • Proficiency with database technologies such as Microsoft SQL, MySQL
  • Previous experience with Snowflake, Microsoft SQL or Oracle Databases
  • Previous experience with NextJS, Jotai, SCSS, Storybook...etc

Salary and benefits

The salary for this position is Grade 9 $142,178.00 - $159,238.00per annum plus superannuation and leave loading.
